Sofía Flota - New intern in the e-Agriculture team

My name is Sofía Flota, and I am currently an intern with the e-Agriculture Community.

 

I am also studying International Business, where I have had the opportunity to take several classes related to international organizations and the current world situation. These classes have sparked my interest in this field and the work that various organizations do for different countries.

 

Nowadays there are many people with great ideas on how we can improve this planet. It’s important that they do not remain just as ideas but they transform into concrete projects that can be shared with as many people as possible.

 

This is why for me it is a great honor to collaborate with the e-Agriculture team. I think the work that is carried out to create a community that promotes dialogue and the exchanging of ideas is of great value. As we stand in this new age of technology, in which it is easier and faster to share information, it is important that we use such technologies to benefit multiple communities and help farmers everywhere gain access to knowledge that can benefit them greatly .

 

We know that information is power and that is what e-Agriculture offers.

 

Sofia is an International Business student at Universidad del Caribe in Cancun, Mexico. She is currently studying abroad at the American University of Rome and working as an intern at FAO with the e-Agriculture team.
