Theory and practice - volunteering with e-Agriculture

Volunteering with e-Agriculture
After completing my undergraduate in Communication for Development in Peru, I decided to study a Master in Information and Communication technologies for Development in Royal Holloway, University of London. Studying this M.S. Program has allowed me to understand the theories behind ICT4D and its potential within the development field.
Now I have been given the opportunity to do an internship with the e-Agriculture Community of Practice. This will give me the chance to put in practice all the theoretical skills that I have learned so far. My main interest is to become an active member in this community and learn more about the use of information and communication technologies for contributing to the development of agriculture in developing countries.
There are many questions in my mind, related to the conceptualization of e-agriculture. For instance, ‘how do we conceptualize e-agriculture? When doing research in ICT4D, what are the key aspects that should be considered as part of the e-agriculture stream?’
I hope that with time I will be able to answer them and contribute to this field, from the theory and practice.
