The French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD), a French research centre working with developing countries to tackle international agricultural and development issues, has organized the Climate-Smart Agricuture (CSA2015) Conference, which will take place from 16 to 18 March 2015 in Montpellier, France.

As suggested by its title, CSA 2015 will focuse specifically on climate-smart agriculture, which - as defined in "Climate-Smart Agriculture Sourcebook" by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations - "is not a new agricultural system, nor a set of practices. It is a new approach, a way to guide the needed changes of agricultural systems, given the necessity to jointly address food security and climate change".
