The CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) is organizing an hackathon on Climate Smart Agriculture, open to individuals and teams; the objective is to develop an ICT product tailored on farmers' information needs.

The CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) continuously generates a large amount of scientific information related to climate smart agriculture (CSA). This information is freely and widely accessible, but due to its complex nature it has been difficult to apply the information to successfully improve the livelihoods of rural populations.

The CCAFS hackathon seeks to develop applications that build a bridge between CCAFS' scientific information and the rural population of Latin America and the Caribbean.
