We at GTZ want to say a big THANK YOU to all authors who contributed to this debate on the socio-economic impact of ICT in rural areas.

A massive thank you goes to Michael Riggs for facilitating this forum and for updating the new forum platform just in time.

We really appreciate you taking the time to tell us what you think on our three specific questions we have raised in this forum.

For sure this discussion has only been a start and is not yet sufficient to give comprehensive answers to all our questions. But it clearly shows the important role of impact analysis for our work and that there is still a lot to do to better understand and communicate the impact of ICTs on rural development.

In response to your discussion, suggestions and ideas we plan to publish a brief paper where we want to summarize key issues and recommendations.

And lastly we will use this paper to further investigate these issues at the ICTD 2010 conference in London.
