Expanding African agricultural knowledge through translation

[News]
Both modern scientific understanding and traditional knowledge systems are necessary for the development of Africa. Researchers at the Knowledge Transfer Africa Trust (KTA) are seeking to create an exchange between researchers and farmers that empowers both groups, while leading to sustainable development. Their programme combines participatory translation, with physical spaces for the collection of technologies and performance venues. Most importantly, there is the creation of two-way knowledge flows between scientists and farmers, even when the two groups speak different languages.
