The Africa Lead database features an extensive listing of upcoming trainings and open education resources relevant to anyone interested in food security in Africa. It is relevant for government officials, farm leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and policy leaders in agriculture. The courses and resources include materials from African institutions, training providers, and relevant university, government, and non-governmental organizations from around the world.

This constitutes a collaborative project funded by USAID to promote agricultural training in Africa, between OER Africa, an initiative of the South African Institute for Distance Education (Saide), the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) and the Africa Leadership Training and Capacity Building Program (Africa Lead)

The database serves as a valuable resource that will ensure that some of the courses offered by Africa’s and America’s finest agricultural institutions will be rendered highly visible, to ensure their widespread dissemination and usage.

To check for courses, you can get started by clicking the “Upcoming Courses” link or by using the keyword search in their website.
