Hillary Miller-Wise is an international development professional, focusing on rural enterprise and SME development. She currently serves as Country Director for TechnoServe Tanzania, a non-profit that provides consulting services to agribusinesses and small enterprises. Previously, Ms. Miller-Wise spent six years at Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI), a for-profit consulting firm, where she provided a broad range of technical consulting services to small enterprises, financial institutions, industry associations and governments throughout Latin America, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Africa. Early in her career, Ms. Miller-Wise served as Tanzania Country Director of FINCA International, a world leader in microfinance services, where she achieved remarkable growth in loans to rural enterprises while maintaining high repayment rates. She was also an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she taught an advanced graduate-level course on Micro- and Small Enterprise Development.
